Differential Pressure Flow Measurement in Coker Fired Heaters

Coker Fired Heaters are required to be tied to a SIF (Safety Instrumented Function) to ensure the heater is shut off if there is a low flow indicator. A common false positive in this application occurs when there is build-up and plugging in the impulse lines. This would cause the flow indication to falsely indication a low or no flow condition, shutting down the heater.
