GlaxoSmithKline's Levi Merkel besprak de vele nuttige gebruiksvormen van een trainingssimulator voor operators, waarvan vele niets te maken hebben met operators. Wat de productie-unit enigszins uniek maakte, is het opnemen van een trainingssimulator voor operators op basis van Emerson Mimic-software. De tijdsbesparing tijdens de acceptatietest en inbedrijfstellingsactiviteiten op locatie van de unit bedroegen ongeveer 270 uur, van naar schatting 400 uur op de productie-unit tot 130 uur op de simulator.
