Oil refineries tend to experience plugged impulse lines with very hot viscous black slurry oil with catalyst fines in their flow instrumentation at the fractionator bottoms. Plugged impulse lines require flushing which can result in inaccurate measurement and increased maintenance costs. The Rosemount™ 8800 Vortex Flow Meter can reduce the costs of having to flush the impulse lines yearly and prevent plugging with the all-welded, no-clog design.
