Gain Accurate Flow Measurement in Coker Fired Heaters

Coker Fired Heaters are required to be tied to a SIF (Safety Instrumented Function) to ensure the heater is shut off if there is a low flow indicator. A common false positive in this application occurs when there is build-up and plugging in the impulse lines. This would cause the flow indication to falsely indication a low or no flow condition, shutting down the heater. The Rosemount 9195 Wedge Flow Meter will eliminate false trips, remove impulse lines that have a risk of plugging, minimize on-scale failures, and improve safety and interlock reliability. The Rosemount 9195 Wedge Flow Meter is an economical solution for medium-to-large line sizes and highly viscous applications.
