Plastic totes are used to contain a variety of liquid materials in limited area spaces in several industries, such as the metals and mining industry. Often, there are limited openings for instrumentation and they require plant operators to perform manual rounds.
The Rosemount 1208 Level and Flow Transmitter provides accurate control of inventory to ensure that processes are running smoothly. It uses non-contacting radar technology, so it doesn’t need any contact with the media and the radar waves easily penetrate the plastic roof of the tank. Additionally, its non-contacting radar technology doesn’t require a tank connection (or tank opening), and its compact form makes it suitable for installation in space-limited applications.
