Optimizing Chemical Process Automation Control
Proven technologies and local expertise to help you overcome chemical process automation challenges.
We combine our technical expertise and expansive product portfolio to help you meet the unique requirements of current and emerging chemical process automation control systems.
From the floor to the cloud, our fluid control, pneumatic, control and software solutions — which include pilot solenoid valves, switchboxes, filter regulators and more — are available as discrete components and integrated packages, allowing you to reduce costs and improve safety, sustainability, and throughput.
Digital transformation is gaining ground in your chemical plant. The key enabler of this movement is the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), which relies on interconnected sensors, devices and other equipment to collect, analyze and transmit real-time data. For your chemical operation, these capabilities unlock a number of benefits related to safety, reliability and efficiency.
Our strategies to take your digital transformation to the next level include deploying discrete diagnostic devices to inform your operators of equipment performance, material usage and process control. We also design integrated solutions packages — consisting of pilot valves, switchboxes and other components — to help you integrate, install and use these devices and systems.
Examples include the TopWorx™ DX PST Switchbox, which relays key valve data and diagnostic information to your IIoT systems via digital and analog signals, as well as smart valve positioners that provide you with a non-contacting sensor approach to valve control.
In terms of digital control solutions, our PACSystems™ RX3i CPE330 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) combines real-time control capabilities with high-performance edge computing in a single device, driving new insights for your operation while providing built-in flexibility, operational efficiency and higher asset performance in your plant.
PACSystems™ add a new dimension to your industrial control and automation landscape, allowing you to optimize production and monitor a wide range of process and discrete environments.

Your chemical operation requires pneumatic components that can deliver precise, reliable pressure regulation — even in harsh environments. To that end, we offer many robust solenoid valves and air preparation units that will ensure your processes run smoothly with minimal downtime.
For example, our solenoid spool valves incorporate hard T-seals and flexible O-rings for bubble-tight shutoff, dirt resistance and multi-million cycle reliability, while direct-acting 3/2-way solenoid valves feature PTFE rider rings and graphite-filled seals, reducing friction and eliminating sticking over a long service life.
And, our air preparation units, such as ASCO™ 641/2/3 Series Aluminum Filter Regulators, maximize your process efficiency by providing industry-leading flow rates and precise pressure regulation to downstream instruments. This media filtration solution — featuring a rugged aluminum design with a specialized coating — prevents your downstream process contamination, improving the safety and reliability of your critical chemical operation.
ASCO™ 551 Solenoid Spool Valve
This compact solenoid valve is ideal for controlling air or inert gas in challenging environments.
ASCO™ 641/2/3 Series Aluminum Filter Regulators
These regulators maximize process efficiency by providing high flow rates and precise pressure regulation to downstream instruments.
ASCO™ 327 3/2-Way Solenoid Valve
These direct-acting valves feature a balanced poppet construction, permitting high flows at minimum power levels.
TopWorx™ GO™ Switch
This all-in-one proximity sensor and limit switch is designed for the most challenging environments and applications.
TopWorx™ TX-Series Switchboxes
Combining full functionality in a compact, direct-mount enclosure, units are available with various position sensors, valves and more.
Exercising the solenoid valve is critical for your chemical application. If this valve experiences stiction-related failure, your Emergency Shutdown (ESD) valve won’t be able to stop the flow of toxic, flammable or even explosive fluids, leading to possible catastrophe. Though critical for valve maintenance, the problem with exercising the solenoid valve is that it may introduce some costly downtime into your operation.
To help you avoid this issue, we offer a simple solution that adds a second solenoid valve to the design of the ESD valve, enabling you to test each solenoid individually without ever taking the system offline. Our pre-packaged and proven pilot valve systems, the Advanced Redundant Control System (ARCS) and Redundant Control System (RCS), have no single point of failure and provide built-in redundancy and diagnostics to optimize your plant’s safety, reliability and uptime.
These systems incorporate various redundant configurations (1oo2, 2oo2 and 2oo3) and consolidate many components — including pressure switches and redundant solenoid valves — into one easy-to-configure package that meets your critical safety requirements.
ASCO™ Advanced Redundant Control System (ARCS)
