Level Measurement of Stored Alkalizers for Cocoa Processing
Accurately measure alkalizer powder levels in small-sized storage vessels
Potassium Carbonate is sometimes used in cocoa processing to produce a higher pH (more alkaline) cocoa powder. The substance is mixed with the nibs prior to roasting. Potassium carbonate is a granular powder, and the bins tend to be smaller than those used for cocoa beans and nibs storage. Smaller vessels are more restricted in terms of the type of level monitoring technology that can be installed.
