Flow Measurement of Steam in Building Heating (District Heating)

Increase reliability for an easy to retrofit, zero downtime solution
Flow Measurement of Steam in Building Heating

Simplified steam measurement for fast retrofit and low maintenance

To maintain saturated steam operational availability, a steam supplier needs a flow meter to easily measure steam and compensate for density changes that doesn't require outages for verification or replacement. The Rosemount™ 8800 Multivariable™ (MV) Vortex flow meter, with integral temperature sensor to compensate mass flow (as density changes) doesn't require annual calibration, thus reducing maintenance costs. By using an easy-to-install in-line measurement device with the ability to measure compensated mass flow, you can save significantly in labor costs by not having to install multiple devices or run impulse lines in a cramped space. The temperature and flow sensors are isolated from the process, providing repair and replacement without line outage. In addition, the elapsed time meter confirms billing time ensuring billing accuracy.
