"Operating within a chemical complex, the different parties sometimes need to bill each other for products and utilities. If an oxygen plant is involved and large volumes are being traded, metering accuracy, reliability, and repeatability are essential.
Big and complex oxygen plants include numerous measuring points such as the high-temperature oxygen lines and headers with temperatures of ~ 250 °F. These points need to be monitored. Installing a traditional metering system would require a downstream factory shutdown, so with high costs and long execution timing, combined with its critical impact on the whole ecosystem, this doesn't present a feasible option."
