Rosemount-PDS42 Acoustic Pig Detector

Rosemount™ PDS42 Acoustic PIG Detector

Product Description

Get real-time pig passage signaling with the Rosemount PDS42 Acoustic PIG Detector, that detects the noise generated by PIGs as they travel through the pipes. No software is required due to embedded digital signal processing, providing remote indication directly to DCS. This monitor enables operators to know the exact pig location inside the pipeline, and identifies debris removal during pipeline cleaning operations. This information is crucial for determining if additional cycles are needed until pipe is clean, ultimately optimizing pipeline maintenance, and ensuring efficient operations. Designed to be non-intrusive, compact, explosion proof and high temperature rated, the Rosemount PDS42 can be installed in almost any location.

    Features

    • Provides real-time pig passage with direct connection to DCS, and no software requirement
    • Compact and explosion proof design facilitating a simple deployment in-field
    • High temperature performance enables for safe operations in high-temp applications
    • Identifies debris removal when executing pipeline cleaning operations. This tells operators if there is more debris left and if they must run another pig run until reaching a clean pipe.
    • Detects all types of PIGs in all types of fluids
