How it Works

Patented T-Shape Design

Rosemount Annubar Averaging Pitot Tube technology is engineered with a patented T-shaped sensor for enhanced DP flow and integral process temperature measurement. The flat upstream-facing surface of this sensor creates a fixed separation point to increase the DP signal and improve performance over a wider flow range. The back side of the sensor includes stagnation zones positioned to reduce signal noise and resist clogging caused by process particulates.

Variable Mounting Options

A versatile solution, Annubar Averaging Pitot Tubes offer several mounting options to meet a wide range of process demands. The flanged assembly fulfills structural requirements of high-pressure applications and provides traditional mounting mechanisms for retrofitting. The Pak-Lok option utilizes the compression design to firmly secure the sensor and the Compact design easily installs between raised-face flanges.

Severe Service Applications

Meeting the complex and demanding requirements of severe service applications, the Rosemount 585 Annubar Primary Element offers extreme durability. Engineered with a symmetrical sensor design, this flowmeter solution can be used to measure bi-directional flow, eliminating the need for two flowmeter assemblies. In addition, the solid sensor construction removes structural welds in the process flow, enabling maximum strength.

Flo-Tap Assembly

Annubar Averaging Pitot Tube technology ensures fast and safe installation with Flo-Tap Mounting. The Flo-Tap assembly can be hot-tapped without interrupting process flow, allowing you to add and install flow measurement points without process and system shutdowns. Providing fast removal for pipe or line maintenance, the flow element quickly and easily retracts and inserts under pressure with gear-assisted mechanisms.

Integral Temperature

Combined with the capabilities of the Rosemount 3051S MultiVariable™ Transmitter, this flowmeter is a no-equal mass flow measurement solution. Offering differential pressure, temperature and flow readings via 1 device, this product reduces the need for multiple pipe penetrations. This scalable solution updates 22 times per second and provides easy maintenance and RTD removal without requiring process shutdown, offering tighter control and improved productivity.
