Emerson-P-DataFrame Data Maintenance Software

DataFrame™ Data Maintenance Software

Product Description

Emerson's (formerly GeoFields) DataFrame™ Data Maintenance Software enables authorized users to manage and edit enterprise pipeline data with the versatility and familiarity of a desktop GIS application. The powerful software captures essential data in a central, common database to streamline data maintenance activities through project workflows. It also continuously updates the related datasets while managing tedious maintenance information and cryptic database intricacies in the background, ensuring users can focus on improving the enterprise data. Powerful editing and approval workflows improve the user experience, with authorized user levels determining which tasks various users are allowed to perform and the pipeline editing rights of each user. Any changes made to the pipeline data are captured in the system, with all changes easily accessible to the entire enterprise and available to all applications. In addition, built-in quality management tools ensure employees throughout the enterprise can rely on the data for analyses and reporting.

Features

  • Integrated pipeline location editing allows users to perform centerline editing, reroutes, stationing configuration, retirements, replacements and refinement using the map-based interface.
  • All approved edits are updated in the common database with these changes available to all users via any enterprise data application.
  • Admininistration tools make it easy to review and approve the data to be published to the production dataset as well as the details behind the edits that have occurred, ensuring no edits are published without an administrator's approval.
  • The software allows for continuous improvement of data quality and enables users to refine the pipeline data assets.
  • Quality control tools fix gaps and overlaps in the data and always check to ensure the locations entered are valid by finding, recording and fixing incorrect data, resulting in the most accurate and complete dataset.
  • All changes to the pipeline status, either the whole segment or a sub-segment during a retirement or abandonment, are captured in the dataset and proliferated to related pipeline features, ensuring staff can accurately assess the pipeline's current status.
  • User access is based on rights which determine the types of edits that can be made by user type and if the user has approval and publishing authorization; all edits are reviewed in the ArcGIS desktop before publishing to the wider user community.
  • All edits, approvals and publishings are time and user-stamped, improving management with archival of all edits to the enterprise database as task-oriented projects with workflows even new employees can easily follow.
  • The software also provides complete support for stationing systems, including resolution of ambiguous as-built stationing, management of station equations and station series data, and dynamic updating of absolute (or continuous) stationing as edits occur.
