Neste Digitalizes Biofuels Refinery to Help Meet Clean Energy Demand

In its June 2022 issue of PROCESS Worldwide magazine, Emerson’s Julie Valentine comments about how the Finnish refining firm Neste is collaborating with Emerson on a 1.5 billion euro-project to digitalize its biofuel refinery in Singapore. The digitalization will enhance process safety, energy efficiency and asset integrity – a major step toward achieving its long-term business and decarbonization goals.

With demand for cheaper, cleaner-burning fuels growing quickly worldwide, Valentine explains, “Advanced systems, software, analytics and mobility tools will help establish the foundation for Neste to digitally transform its operations by turning relevant data into new operational insights and actionable information that empower better decision-making.”
