Level Measurement in Lime Silos for Sugar Production
Accurately measure lime levels in silos despite challenging dusty conditions and build-up on storage silo walls.
A lime solution is added to raw sugar juice to remove impurities. Lime is stored in silos before being sent to the kiln and made into a milk solution to add to the sugar juice. Continuous monitoring of lime inside the silo is challenging since lime generates heavy dust that tends to adhere to the silo walls during the process, creating build-up and rat holes.
