The latest release of Emerson’s DeltaV Edge Environment introduces new capabilities, helping ensure data integrity and preventing costly data losses
AUSTIN, Texas (July 17, 2024) – Emerson’s DeltaV™ Edge Environment has been updated to include a new “Store and Forward” feature, which minimizes risk and reduces costs by helping to ensure reliable, complete, and accurate data capture, even during an unexpected downtime or disruptions to operations.
This Store and Forward feature acts as a data buffer that locally stores process data within the DeltaV Edge Environment for up to 48 hours in the event of a connection loss. Once the connection is restored, all buffered data is seamlessly backfilled, ensuring uninterrupted and complete process records.
The Store and Forward feature helps users:
