The industry standard for magnetic flow meter installations is to install it with five upstream pipe diameters and two downstream pipe diameters. This allows the conductive incompressible fluid to have a more symmetric flow profile and more accurate flow rate readings. However, sometimes the recommended straight run is not available for an application. In this case, an accurate and repeatable measurement is still desired. Rosemount™ 8700 sensors can provide accurate and repeatable measurements without any upstream or downstream straight run. This enables an accurate flow measurement anywhere in the plant without specifying unique features to do so.

Rosemount 8705 Flanged Magnetic Flow Meter Sensors provide long-lasting, reliable performance in even the most challenging applications. An all-welded construction provides a hermetic seal that protects against moisture and other contaminants. The sealed housing ensures maximum sensor reliability by protecting all internal components and wiring from even the most aggressive environments. A removable and replaceable terminal block enables easy repair in the field without the need to replace the entire meter.
