To maintain saturated steam operational availability, a steam supplier needs a flow meter to easily measure steam and compensate for density changes that doesn't require outages for verification or replacement. The Rosemount™ 8800 Multivariable™ (MV) Vortex flow meter, with integral temperature sensor to compensate mass flow (as density changes) doesn't require annual calibration, thus reducing maintenance costs. By using an easy-to-install in-line measurement device with the ability to measure compensated mass flow, you can save significantly in labor costs by not having to install multiple devices or run impulse lines in a cramped space. The temperature and flow sensors are isolated from the process, providing repair and replacement without line outage. In addition, the elapsed time meter confirms billing time ensuring billing accuracy.

Product Solutions
The Rosemount 8800 MultiVariable Vortex Flow Meter combines temperature and flow devices into a single, highly accurate instrument, eliminating the costly installation of two or more separate devices. The integrated, removable temperature sensor provides an accurate process temperature measurement and is isolated from the process and separate from the Vortex flow sensor. With the input from an external HART® pressure transmitter, it also provides temperature and pressure compensation, enabling compensated mass flow and corrected volume in steam and liquid applications.

The Rosemount 8800 Reducer Vortex Flow Meter utilizes the trusted electronics, sensor, and meter body of the Rosemount 8800 Series while harnessing the benefits of integral reducers to accurately measure lower flow rates. This design eliminates field assembly and welding of separate reducers and piping, thereby greatly reducing installation costs and project risk. Additionally, the face-to-face dimensions of the Rosemount 8800 Reducer match that of the traditional Rosemount 8800 Series for ultimate versatility.
