Sunil Khanna and Sridar Narayanswami elevated to Vice President Roles in the India Region
Mumbai, November 8, 2011 – Emerson has appointed Pradipta Sen as President of its India, Middle East and Africa region. He has been President of Emerson India for the past decade, helping grow the company’s sales and presence in India to approximately US$700 million in fiscal 2011 and more than 8,700 employees. He now has the additional responsibility of overseeing Emerson’s growth strategies in the Middle East and Africa where the company posted sales worth US$1.2 billion in fiscal 2011 and has approximately 1,000 employees.

Sen began his career with Emerson in 2001 when he was appointed President of Emerson India. Prior to joining Emerson, he spent 16 years with General Electric in leadership roles in sales, marketing, engineering and technical services. Earlier in his career, he had worked for PowerGen plc. and BTR plc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Sen will be based out of the Gurgaon office.
In addition, Sunil Khanna was elevated to the role of Vice President, Strategic Relations, Emerson India Region, and Sridar Narayanswami was promoted to Vice President, India Region, effective October 1, 2011. Both will be based in Mumbai.
Khanna joined Emerson in July 2004 and has contributed significantly to the organization during his tenure as Managing Director for Emerson Process Management, India. Prior to Emerson, he held several senior positions in ABB in India and Southeast Asia. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from IIT, Kanpur.
Narayanswami joined Emerson in November 2004 and has steered key businesses in the organization in both India and the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to Emerson, Narayanswami held several positions in Wipro and AT Kearney in India. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Government College of Engineering, Pune and an MBA degree from IIM, Calcutta.
