Peter Zornio

Chief Technology Officer

 Emerson

Peter Zornio is chief technology officer at Emerson. In this role, he leads Emerson’s innovation strategy, overall product roadmap, technology and portfolio direction, central R&D functions, and industry standards across the business. Zornio also is a member of Emerson’s Office of the Chief Executive, which helps develop and guide the company’s global business strategies.

Zornio joined Emerson in 2006. In past roles at Emerson, Zornio served on the executive management team of Emerson’s Automation Solutions business and led development for Emerson’s comprehensive automation systems and software portfolio, including the company’s Plantweb digital ecosystem and Industrial Internet of Things solutions and strategies, as well Automation Solution’s marketing team.

Prior to joining Emerson, Zornio held a variety of product and industry marketing, project implementation and technology roles at Honeywell.

Zornio currently serves on the board of directors of Emerson Ventures, the company’s corporate venture capital arm. He is an active member of Emerson’s Somos Employee Resource Group, which focuses on support and engagement initiatives on behalf of the company’s Hispanic and Latin American employees.

He is also a member of the Forbes Technology Council, a group of C-suite technology leaders who share their deep knowledge and diverse experience in the industry, and serves on the board of directors of FieldComm Group, an industry nonprofit consortium that manages standards in the automation industry.

A holder of five patents, Zornio holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Rolf Hemminga

Vice President Industry Sales

Emerson

Rolf Hemminga is vice president industry sales for Emerson’s systems and software business in Europe. In his role, he leads a team of sales, commercial and product specialists to drive optimal business strategy and customer engagements. 

Hemminga started as a systems engineer in 1991 at Fisher-Rosemount and was a business development manager in 1996, prior to Emerson’s acquisition of the business. 

Hemminga has over 30 years of experience in the process automation industry. Throughout his career at Emerson, Hemminga has held various European and global roles within sales, project engineering, business unit general management including profit and loss responsibilities and in Emerson’s dedicated businesses to the life science, power and water industries.

Hemminga graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics and computer science from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht).  

Moazzam Shamsi

Director, Global Solutions Architecture – Smart Wireless

Moazzam Shamsi, director of global solutions architecture – smart wireless for Emerson’s measurement solutions business, leads a team of industrial automation architects expert in designing robust, secure architectures for measurement solutions . The aim is seamless connectivity and efficient data integration from the field to the enterprise.

With a focus on industrial automation, wireless sensors and communications protocols, Shamsi guides engineering contractors and end users in adopting automation technologies to help optimize operations and deliver measurable impact.

Over his 30-year career, Shamsi has had various roles from a hands-on project engineer to managing capital projects as well as consulting for government and regulatory bodies. 

Shamsi earned a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering and a Master of Technology Management from the University of Sussex. He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Measurement and Control and an elected Fellow for the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Aarti Dange

Customer Experience Leader 

Emerson

Aarti Dange is a customer experience leader for Emerson’s Middle East and Africa business (MEA). She oversees a team focused on enhancing the customer experience in using Emerson’s automation, software and technology solutions.

Dange started her career as a petroleum engineer in several roles across the oil and gas industry in MEA. She brings nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry to Emerson with roles including upstream oil and gas sales manager for the digital transformation business. In addition, she leads the Emerson MEA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) chapter.

Dange earned a Bachelor in Petroleum Engineering from MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) in Pune, India, and a Masters of Engineering Management from Middlesex University Dubai. She is a distinguished lecturer for the Society of Petroleum Engineers where she also chairs the Data Science and Engineering Analytics regional division.
